Step 3: Detach Yourself from the Official Facebook App From there, simply tap "Uninstall" or "Disable." This will leave you with only the cloned app, which is isolated thanks to the sandboxed environment. Now uninstall the app on the "mainland" by navigating to the "App Info" page of the version which doesn't have a small suitcase icon on top of the icon (most launchers let you do this by dragging the icon to the top of your home screen, then dropping it on "App Info"). Play Store Link: Island (Unreleased) (free). While it can't eliminate all data leakage (specifically device-bound data such as SMS and IMEI), it does prohibit apps from accessing information such as your call logs, contacts, and your photos. Island is an early access app which creates a sandboxed environment where you can clone apps and isolate them from your data. You can do that by using an app which takes advantage of Android's Managed Profile feature. This is why, to protect yourself, you should completely isolate the Facebook app from your data. We already learned that Facebook found a way to still access call history without alerting the user and without requiring a permission dialog. When you create a Facebook account on your Android device, Facebook will grab as much information it can access. Step 2: Use Island to Isolate Facebook (Android Only) Don't Miss: 4 Best Burner Phone Number Apps for Android & iPhone. In our testing, we found Hushed ( Android | iOS) offers the best features for a burner number, but in the case of remaining anonymous, any of the apps on our list will do. There are several excellent choices on both the Play Store and App Store which we've already reviewed. Like the email, this is a fake temporary number which allows you to register for and use Facebook while protecting your data. Since Facebook lets you register with a phone number, if you decide a burner email address is too much trouble, you can always create a burner phone number. Install Temp Mail: Android (free) | iOS (free). And when you don't need it, you can hit "change," essentially getting rid of email forever. With this app, you will receive any emails sent to this email address such as any account verifications or confirmation codes. With this app, it will generate a temporary email address that isn't associated with you or your personal information. However, the more secure method is to take advantage of the Temp Email app. Don't Miss: How to Open a New Gmail Account. You can choose whichever email service fits you best - the point is to make sure its only use is for your new Facebook account. First, you can sign up for a new email account and only use it for creating your anonymous Facebook profile. The best practice here? Start from scratch.įor a "burner" email, you can go about it a few ways. If you use a preexisting email account or phone number, your messages, search history, connected apps and more can potentially be fair-game for Facebook and its advertisers. Step 1: Make a Burner Email or Phone Numberįirst, if you truly want to use Facebook off the grid, you'll need to sign up with an email account or phone number that is only used for your new profile.

Lightroom handles batch editing easier and better, in my opinion. There are actions that can be purchased, or sometimes downloaded for free, that have presets to use to speed up this process. This is batch editing or batch processing. Photographers can edit several image files at once in either PS or LR. Since LR has some of the most used edits available, it becomes a very good option for photographers with large volumes of images. So, you could quickly use up a whole lot of disk storage space. So, in PS, you will have at least three large image files in order to have a non-destructive image editing workflow. Some printers can print from a TIFF, but a JPEG is probably the most commonly used file format. Finally, you save your finished work in a file format that can be used. Then, you work on the TIFF or PSD (Photoshop document), saving your changes to it. The original RAW file will be changed, unless you first save that image as a PSD or TIFF. With Photoshop, you are changing the image file. Of course, you also have the option of saving it as a specific file type. You’re creating a new catalog of program commands. You’re not duplicating an image, multiplying it over and over with each new edit. That may sound like it would take up a lot of computer space, but it doesn’t really. You can also continue adjusting from where you left off. You can go back to your original image file again and again and it will be just as it was when you loaded it to your computer. Thus, the hard drive space needed for storage is relatively small. This catalog holds the editing instruction for all of your LR images. That catalog is a set of program commands that get applied to the image file when you export it as whatever file type output you are using. When adjusting your image, the edits are stored in a catalog. What that means is that the original file is never actually changed in LR. Lightroom differs significantly from PS in that LR edits are accomplished through non-destructive editing. Sometimes, a photographer simply needs what Photoshop does. Well, those advanced editing tools are the main reason PS exists in the first place. With LR having such awesome file management and batch processing tools, some may wonder why they would need Photoshop at all. Lightroom also has an advanced batch editing feature called Sync that offers an alternative method of batch processing.Īdvanced functions are where Photoshop excels. Some photographers can shorten their work time by hours using Lightroom’s batch processing tools. It offers easy solutions to manage your process, from loading your camera image files onto your computer, to cataloging RAW and finished files, to exporting options and even printing.īatch processing is another thing that Lightroom does differently than Photoshop. While both programs can be used to edit images, Lightroom is a workflow solution, too. The Main Differencesįile management is one of the major differences between the two programs. Full of features designed to allow photographers and other artists to manipulate their images to bring out the full potential of their artwork. Adobe’s programs are so entrenched into the photographic world that photoshop has become a verb to some people. Many articles are available to see what those advantages are.Īdobe is a leader in post-processing programs. There are advantages to shooting in the camera’s RAW image format. Images shot in RAW will require some sort of processing to be shared, seen, sold, or printed. In addition, many images displayed as fine art or sold to clients have had some custom work done to them before delivering files or printing.Īny SOOC image is most likely going to be in the JPEG file format. In other words, there is nothing inherently superior in presenting SOOC images as opposed to an image with improvements or corrections. Regardless of how careful a photographer is in setting up exposure and composition, there is often at least one little thing that could be changed. When taking photos, a person will tend to differentiate in their minds what images are snapshots as opposed to fine photography. Straight out of the camera (SOOC) images can often use at least a tweak. Why Use Photoshop or Lightroom in the First Place? In S3 a healthy endgame attack is roughly around 32k but anything in between 30-23k is fine. Vindictus has an Attack cap though, so if you exceed a certain point of Attack your extra Attack becomes useless. So for stacking stats of course Attack is the most important one. Kai highly relies on crits since all his important attacks have the ability to crit. You should find an amount of Def that suits your gameplay. This gives you as a player the ability to focus on offensive gear rather than stacking loads of Def. Important Stats: Due to the fact that he is ranged, Kai has to dodge less attacks than other classes in general. He has some great utility skills as well for break offs(BO) and crowd control, giving him the ability to focus on single target dps or cleaning multiple weaker enemies at the same time faster than most melee classes. Introduction: I have been thinking about writing a guide about Bow Kai for some time, but I never had the time to spare. □Ĭreating dependent tasks in Excel is as easy as double-clicking a task and setting dependencies from the right pane-but let’s walk through that together. Regardless of how impressive a project schedule is, failure to include a description of critical dependencies linked with the project poses a significant risk to delivering top-notch project value. □ How to show task dependencies in Excel And lucky for you, we’re going to dive right into that process to help you create and understand your own task dependencies with this tool. Project management requires a proper understanding of task dependency and how to show those dependencies in Excel. Task dependency is also known as a logical relationship, which can be a dependency between project tasks or between tasks and milestones. In a nutshell, dependencies in Excel are a simple relationship between two or more pending tasks on a project. Depend on ClickUp for your task relationship needsĭependencies are activities or tasks that other tasks depend on-or are dependent on others to be completed first. How to make the most of your task dependencies in ClickUp.ClickUp: An intuitive task dependency solution.Drawbacks of using Excel to show dependencies. And while there are other easy-to-use methods to show dependencies, we’ll focus on how to do it in Excel Gantt charts first, then provide a faster way to get the same (and much more detailed) view through a different tool. There are varying, relatively time-consuming ways to show dependencies in Excel. Task dependencies are common in Excel to help define the order in which teams perform projects. In a nutshell, task dependency, in this case, is the simple relationship between two or more tasks in a project. Project managers typically use task management software to track dependencies between individual project tasks. Knowing your task dependencies in any project is vital-meaning the sequence of a series of tasks cannot change, and that a particular task can’t commence until another is complete, and vice versa. The challenge here is that many people rely on spreadsheets to show, track, and display project dependencies-but if you’re trying to show dependencies in Excel, it gets a bit tricky. For project managers and team leaders, it’s essential to see how a task moves through each stage and relates to other tasks in your workflow so you can anticipate its blockers. But before a task moves on, it has to finish its current dependency. Microsoft 365 subscription offers Gantt chart templates designed to help you track project tasks with visual reminders and color-coded categories.Whether it’s office work, small plans, or large projects-your daily workload is typically made up of several mini tasks. Hold CONTROL and click in the chart, and then select Save as Template. To reuse your customized Gantt chart, save it as a template. To change the colors for the chart, click Change Colors. To fine-tune the design, tab through the design options and select one. To add elements to the chart, click the chart area, and on the Chart Design tab, select Add Chart Element. You can customize the Gantt type chart we created by adding gridlines, labels, changing the bar color, and more. Select Format Axis, and under Axis Position, choose Categories in reverse order. Hold the CONTROL key, and select the vertical axis (Tasks). Let’s also reverse the task order so that it starts with Task1. If you don’t need the legend or chart title, click it and press DELETE. In the chart, click the first data series (the Start part of the bar in blue) and then on the Format tab, select Shape Fill > No Fill. Next, we’ll format the stacked bar chart to appear like a Gantt chart. Find out more about selecting data for your chart.Ĭlick Insert > Insert Bar Chart > Stacked Bar chart. Tip: If you don't want to include specific rows or columns of data you can hide them on the worksheet. Integrating curvatures over beam length, the deflection, at some point along x-axis, should also be reversely proportional to I. Substituting these values into our square beam bending stress equation, we get: 6 × M / a³. Say a square beam has a side measurement, a, of 0.10 m and experiences a 200 N·m bending moment. M x is the bending moment about the x-axis. Therefore, it can be seen from the former equation, that when a certain bending moment M is applied to a beam cross-section, the developed curvature is reversely proportional to the moment of inertia I. To find the bending stress of a square beam, you can use the following equation: 6 × M / a³. Stiffness and Inertia Properties F z is the axial force along the beam. Where Ixy is the product of inertia, relative to centroidal axes x,y (=0 for the I/H section, due to symmetry), and Ixy' is the product of inertia, relative to axes that are parallel to centroidal x,y ones, having offsets from them d_. Where I' is the moment of inertia in respect to an arbitrary axis, I the moment of inertia in respect to a centroidal axis, parallel to the first one, d the distance between the two parallel axes and A the area of the shape, equal to 2b t_f + (h-2t_f)t_w, in the case of a I/H section with equal flanges.įor the product of inertia Ixy, the parallel axes theorem takes a similar form: The so-called Parallel Axes Theorem is given by the following equation: The mass moment of inertia is often also known as the rotational inertia, and sometimes as the angular mass. The moment of inertia of any shape, in respect to an arbitrary, non centroidal axis, can be found if its moment of inertia in respect to a centroidal axis, parallel to the first one, is known. It should not be confused with the second moment of area, which has units of dimension L 4 (length 4) and is used in beam calculations. 2011-2014 Men BMI (kg/m 2) PercentileīMI for Females - Percentiles by Age: U.S. See further down the page for a printable BMI chart for adults.īMI for Males - Percentiles by Age: U.S. To keep the page mobile friendly, the chart consists of 4 progressive tables - so if your numbers don't match the first table move down to the next one. For example, if a player bids 0, it means that he or she will actively try to avoid picking any tricks. Reaching 10 bags equals -100 points and an almost sure defeat.Ģ. It may be tempting to do it, but 10 bags are easier to reach than it seems, especially because there are two of you (you and your partner) collecting them. Tips and tricks to win at Spades onlineġ. Even if you are set to lose, you can try to override your losses by making your opponents fail more spectacularly than you. If both are safe when it comes to matching bids, you can try to make one or both of your opponents over or underbid. The third way you and your partner can show off your teamwork skills is by sabotaging your opponents. If so, you can try to play your own cards in such a way that you set your partner to win the trick. If you have been keeping an eye on the cards he or she has been playing, you might have a good idea of their cards. For example, imagine that a round is ending and your partner is currently underbidding. The second step is to keep tabs on each other throughout the game. Even if you are both extremely confident in your hands, bidding 10 and 9 each is simply not feasible and will surely end up in a penalty for both. There are only 13 tricks to be taken on each round, which means you must balance your bid with that of your partner. The first step in a good teamwork dynamic starts at the bidding stage. This means that, even if you match your bid, if your partner fails to do the same, you are both penalized. Spades is a teamwork game through and through because the scores are jointly noted down. The first team to reach 500 points wins the game. When a team reaches 10 bags, they will have 100 points deducted from their score as a penalty. Each “extra trick” is turned into a bag and noted down next to the team score. Overbidding can be tempting, but there is a catch. For example, a player that bids 3 and collects 5 tricks will receive 30+1+1 points: 32 points in total. In this case, the player receives 10 points for each trick they bid on plus 1 point for every extra trick. Overbid: this happens when players collect more tricks than what they bid. For instance, if a player bids 4 but only collects 3 tricks, he or she will have 10 points deducted from their total score. Underbid: when players bid more tricks than they get, they are penalized with -10 points per failed trick. For example, if a player bids and collects 4 tricks, he or she will receive 40 points at the end of the round. Matching the bid: when players fulfill their bid, they will receive 10 points for each trick. The bid is what will ultimately determine the score of each round. Scoring: bags and bidsīags and bids are the core of Spades and what makes it different from other similar card games.īids are placed before each round starts, with each player stating how many tricks they believe they can get after seeing their own cards. If the trick contains no Spades, then the highest-ranking card of the opening suit wins. After that, they can be used to open the tricks. Spades can only enter the game when a player cannot follow suit. In case a trick contains more than one Spades card, the highest-ranking one wins. In this game, Spades are trumps and can take over the tricks. The game itself follows the classic trick-taking gameplay. Once that number is set, the player must play smartly to try to reach their goal and avoid taking fewer or more tricks than what they bid on. The goal is for them to bet on the exact number of tricks they believe they will be taking in the course of the game. After checking their hands and before the game starts, the players must place their bids. Spades uses a standard 52-card deck, with each player receiving 13 cards. Our online Spades game features a multiplayer option precisely to bring together players from all over the world who are looking for partners as keen on winning as they are. This made it accessible to players of all ages, who could now get together and enjoy a highly strategic card game played in teams. Born in the American Midwest, it quickly spread worldwide due to its similar gameplay to Bridge and Euchre but with simplified rules. Spades is a trick-taking card game that combines betting and teamwork in a unique way. No matter what others will say about correctness or authenticity. If your aim is to be understood, say, by peers in your community where everyone has some knowledge of the Futhark, you will achieve that. However, authenticity is not something to be had at all costs. Ancient people would not understand that. You encode in runes some modern English word or phrase. Thus the practical goal would be achieved.Ĭase C. It would be authentic because people living at the respective period and speaking respective language would understand what you mean, may be with some difficulty, but still understand it. Even though it wouldn’t be ideally correct, since Vikings (earlier Germanic people) did not have any stable spelling for runic Old Norse (Proto-Norse). Would such an inscription be authentic? Yes. You write in runes some text in a corresponding ancient language: Old Norse or Proto-Norse (even though we know quite little about it). However using similar sounds would allow pronouncing the name more or less correctly for practical purposes, like we do in English for Japanese or any other language with a very different phonological system.Ĭase B. Keep in mind that your name may contain sounds that did not exist at the period. Even though it wouldn’t be ideally correct, since Vikings (earlier Germanic people) did not have regular transliteration rules for other languages. If the rules on which your rendering is based are okay, a Viking Age Norseman (a Migration Period Germanic runemaster) would be able to pronounce what is represented in runes or recognize it, should he know the name already. You write your name in the Younger Futhark (Elder Futhark) runes. By authenticity I understand a supposed ability to read your inscription by someone who used the runes originally.Ĭase A. Well, instead of the notion of correctness I suggest referring to a degree of authenticity. But you surely don’t want other people to point the finger of scorn at your tattoo or engraving and say it’s incorrect. Now what about all other modern English words and phrases, beside the names? Shouldn’t one use them at all in a runic inscription? Why not. I plan to deal with this type of trouble in a series of posts later this year. Whatever rules you apply, adherents of some other set of rules will say your inscription is incorrect.Įven if you use a fragment of an actual Viking Age inscription, you may fall into a blatant mistake: first, the fragment has to be chosen carefully, so that it makes sense second, it has to really mean what you think it means. There is no generally accepted set of rules between English and ancient runic alphabets. This explains why I say that no correct conversion into runes can exist. However, I believe they are logical, I can explain them, and I offer them for free to everyone. The algo that stands behind the converter is my attempt to achieve transliteration rules between modern English and five runic alphabets: Elder Futhark, Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, long branch and short twig Younger Futhark and staveless runes. That’s why I created a rune converter and wrote a guide on How to Write a Name for a Tattoo. That’s what I plan to do, but before I post these I decided to cover some options that might seem to be totally discarded in my previous article.įirst of all, if you plan to write in runes a name (your own, or names of your dear ones), you can’t find it on the Viking Age runestones, unless you are one thousand years old. I also promised to find interesting fragments of the Viking Age inscriptions for you. The practical advice I gave at the end of my text was to find a fragment of an existing Viking Age Younger Futhark inscription and use it for your tattoo, carving or engraving. Let’s consider what can be done about that. In my previous post on How to Translate Into Runes Correctly I wrote that no such thing as a correct representation of an English or Old Norse text in Norse runes can be achieved in practice. Spider Solitaire has its own peculiarities, so before you start playing it online you should get familiar with the rules. The name Spider is thought to have been derived from the eight legs of a spider, corresponding to the eight foundation piles the player aims to build. This digital version introduced Spider Solitaire to millions of computer users worldwide, solidifying its status as one of the most popular Solitaire games. Online Spider Solitaire surged in popularity during the late 1990s, following its inclusion in the Microsoft Windows operating system. While the exact beginnings of Spider Solitaire are not entirely known, it's generally thought to have originated in the early 1900s. On our platform, you can play Spider Solitaire for free with no download required. Spider Solitaire is distinctive for its requirement to manage multiple card sequences simultaneously, making it more challenging and mentally stimulating than many other card games. The objective is to create descending sequences of cards within the tableau, moving them to form eight complete sequences from the King to the Ace, which are then automatically removed to the foundation. Unlike other Solitaire games, it involves dealing with ten tableau columns. Spider Solitaire, a distinct version of classic Solitaire games, is played online using two regular decks, totaling 104 cards. Depending on the variation (such as 2 Suits or 4 Suits), these sequences need to be in the same suit. Spider Solitaire is won when all cards are removed from the tableau in complete sequences from King to Ace. Each column must have a minimum of one card in it before new cards can be dealt from the stockpile. When needed, these cards are dealt onto each of the ten columns, adding a new card to the top of each column. The remaining 50 cards form the stockpile, which comes into play when no further moves are available. This strategic element allows for more maneuvering options within the game.
